Overview of the Conference
As digital libraries have rapidly evolved over the last decade, the question of how to sustain these new services has become a major concern for a wide range of institutions. This conference will bring together digital library leaders and other interested professionals to explore the key issues involved in sustaining digital libraries.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Gregory Crane will be our keynote speaker. Dr. Crane is Professor of Classics and Winnick Family Chair in Technology and Entrepreneurship at Tufts University, and Editor-in-Chief of the Perseus Digital Library.

This symposium will feature panels of leaders from the National Science Digital Library, the Digital Library Federation, the National Digital Preservation Program, and other efforts.

The symposium is hosted by the MetaScholar Initiative of Emory University's General Libraries. The symposium will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006, at the Robert W. Woodruff Library on the Emory University Campus.
